Steve heads our investment function, taking the lead in designing the model portfolios in which many of our clients’ assets are held. These are carefully constructed to match clients’ risk profiles and deliver against the long-term financial plans we build and manage for them.
Steve joined Prest in 2009 as a financial planner, with a particular focus on advising clients in the approach to, and throughout, their retirement. Prior to joining Prest he worked as an accountant in commerce and industry and as an insurance company client adviser before becoming an independent financial adviser in 1990.
Steve now focuses purely on overseeing our investment function and no longer advises clients himself. However, his almost three decades’ experience delivering financial advice feed into the investment portfolios he constructs, bringing an understanding of the real-world needs and priorities of clients to bear on this key element of our service.
Steve lives in Poynton, Cheshire with his wife Anne and between them they have five children and four grandchildren.
