Initially trained from further education in interior design, Ian moved into Financial Services in 1989, gaining experience originally with Pearl Assurance.
Three years later, he joined Prest to work alongside his father – John Drew – a financial adviser of some 40 years. After his father retired, Ian inherited the Drew client bank and continues to provide advice to these long standing clients with many becoming firm family friends over the years. For the last 18 years, Ian has worked alongside Graham and Mark and has become an integral part of the business.
Ian is qualified to the full Financial Planning Certificate (FPC), passing also the CF9 (Pensions), ER1 (Equity Release), CeMAP (Mortgages). Ian has also completed the course for Financial Advisers in Green and Ethical Investments.
Ian advises on all aspects of wealth management for individuals and businesses, including Pensions and Investments embracing inheritance tax (IHT) planning. Ian also deals with life assurance protection and giving mortgage advice.
Away from work, Ian spends some considerable time on charity work, organising various events for the Aimee Drew Trust as well as performing in his alter ego as a 70’s DJ. Ian has two sons – Jack & Harrison – and lives with his wife Joanne. Ian is a keen sportsman and footballer and an avid follower of Huddersfield Town Football Club!
